The UnChoir is doing so much Good in the Hood!

October is Mental Health Month and two instrumental local organisations have joined forces for a common purpose - to create a more connected community. 

The Balmain Rozelle Unchoir comes together every Wednesday night at The London Pub and uses people's instinctive love of music to bring our community together in the most joyous way.  Singing releases those happy hormones in the body and lifts the mood to fight depression and loneliness.

This October they open their arms even wider with a Sing-a-long Gala Night to raise money for Good in the Hood. All proceeds will help expand our community food programs and remind our recipients that they are surrounded by locals that care deeply about their welfare. 

But before you say "...but I can't sing", note that they welcome every type of singer;  experienced or novice alike. No judgement, just joy.

So come and join in the fun and celebrate two popular genres of music; punk and disco. Dust off the heels, glitter and leather jackets and come together with other locals to enjoy music, food and fun whilst raising money for our beloved community.

Tickets are $55 a head and include a welcome drink, food and the chance to lift your mood this Mental Health Month

* Good in the Hood delivers approximately 20,000  meals a year to people in the local community doing it tough. The meals and food hampers are all created by locals (cafes, restaurants, or home cooks) and packed with nutritious food, but just as importantly, the knock on the door once a week reminds those we deliver to that they are loved and cared for by their community.
