About the Event
Good in the Hood is a local charity based at the Together 2 community centre. Each week we send 380 meals out to those in our neighbourhood doing it tough. We are giving kids from the area the opportunity to come to the centre and learn about what we do and get involved with helping to make a difference.
We will kick the session off by rolling up our sleeves and putting on our aprons to start preparing our meals and sweet treats for our Good Food Programme. Followed by a BBQ lunch in which the kids will have a chance to hear what we do each week for our locals. 'The Patch' community garden will be open for the children to explore. Returning to the kitchen to complete our food ready for Tuesday's delivery.
Lunch and the supervised cooking session are included in the $45 per child ticket price.
