Join the Good in the Hood family to celebrate Sunday lunch, Italian style and be reminded that sharing good food is at the heart of our community and what we do.
Good in the Hood is a local charity that harnesses the power of our community to give back to those in our neighbourhood doing it tough. Each week local chefs and homecooks provide over 300 nutritious and delicious meals that are delivered to our recipients. The food is certainly important but even moreso, is that knock on the door by our friendly team of volunteers. In some cases this is the only face our recipients see each week. Good in the Hood uses food as a way to address loneliness and isolation in our community. Most inner west locals think our community is so uniquely welcoming and connected, but you would be surprised at how many people feel alone in our midst.
Local and renown chef Danny Russo is a big supporter of our charity and is opening the doors of his fine dining restaurant Sala which is located on the edge of Sydney harbour, looking back to the Balmain Peninsula. On Sunday 17th September he will host a special lunch which will raise much needed funds to increase the number of recipients Good in the Hood can help each week. Tickets include a four course lunch presented by Danny and matching wines brought to you by Castel Firmian.
